A body found in a Vaughan, Ontario, greenhouse is now being investigated as suspicious.
The body was found by police Tuesday, according to CTV Toronto. The chief of the police told CTV the department is treating the death as suspicious.
Authorities tell the Toronto Sun a man in his 20s may have fallen from the roof of the greenhouse. He had other injuries and there were signs of trauma on his body.
After talking to his roommates, police believe the man fell from a location unknown to them.
A police spokesman tells CTV police have not released the name of the victim because his family has not been notified.
“My children’s stateroom used to look up to the shade and I can’t believe it,” next door neighbor Kathy Huner told CTV. “This is just beyond imagination.”
“It’s terrible. You just think these things shouldn’t happen and nothing ever happens. Nothing ever happens, you know,” neighbor Melanie Berman told CTV.
The Globe and Mail reports that the medical examiner’s office will make a medical decision on how the man died.
